Chicken Soup with Dang Shen and Huang Qi
2 small pieces chicken breast (cut into shreds), 100 g white gourd (cut into slices), 3 g huang qi (astragalus root), 3 g dang shen (radix codonopsis), 100 ml water
- Place chicken breast, huang qi, dang shen and white gourd in a small stewing mug, pour in water. Stew until the meat softens.
- May add a little salt and yellow rice wine for seasoning. Serve
Huang qi, dang shen and chicken meat are effective in improving qi. White gourd promotes diuresis and heals swelling. This dish also improves the function of the spleen.
Effective in treating obese individuals with a weak spleen.
